ABOUT US

The Rigby Theater Company, founded in 2024, is an not-for-profit theater company led by High School students from around the Tucson Area, dedicating to giving the voices of student-led playwrights the stage to have their ideas workshopped and celebrated.

THE PEOPLE

Jacob Toole  is a senior at Salpointe Catholic High School and the founder of and producer at the Rigby Theater Company. As a young stage actor, he has starred in productions in and around the Tucson area for the past three years. Jacob has a passion for building environments where high artistic achievement can be fostered, and is excited to build a new space for young playwrights, actors, and directors to flourish onstage.

BRUISERS - CREATIVE

Gavin Evanson (Student Director) is a student at Salpointe High School who has done theatre with Saguaro City Music Theatre, Arts Express, Scoundrel & Scamp, SAPAC, and Stage Partners. On top of being an actor, he has held many other positions in choreography, sound, lighting, and stage management. He has competed nationally and been awarded many scholarships in addition to a Thespy Award for his performance work. Gavin is extremely dedicated to his craft and has an undying passion for everything the art does to tie communities together.

Benjamin Teller (Music Director) is a senior at Salpointe Catholic High School, where he plays in its Jazz Band on piano and in Drama Troupe, which he leads as a part of its Executive Board. His musical experience as a pianist includes accompanying local musicals and being selected to perform at Carnegie Hall in NYC. Ben believes in creating an environment through theater where everyone—whether actor, audience, technician, creative, or otherwise involved—can be exposed to new ideas and discover what they value.

Antonius D. Robello is 18 years old and has performed in over twenty productions across Tucson. He is an accomplished Director, Actor, and Writer. His passion for theater is undeniable as shown through his adeptness in directing, his captivating performances on stage, and his skillful storytelling in his written works, each embodying a deep-seated love for the craft and a commitment to its artistry.

Mahri Flannery is a senior at Rincon High School, and a member of the RUHS Cast of Thousands Theater Department. She loves spending her time observing and partaking in fine arts, and has been able to show her passion for acting through the many dramatic, comical, and improv performances she's been a part of. Mahri is always ready and eager to begin any new theatrical journey, whether it be through acting, script writing, or directing.
